Personal Statement

Sandra Allison graduated Cum Laude with degrees in History & Government, Management, Business, & Psychology from Columbia, Missouri. She received her Economic Developer Certification from the University of Oklahoma and has extensive specialized training from organizations such as the Sirolli Institute and the Kauffman Foundation. Ms. Allison has worked with several regional commissions as well as local cities and county governments in Missouri and Kansas in her nearly twenty year career as a director of Economic Development. Although she has managed and been a part of large metro area organizations, such as the St. Louis County Economic Council, her extensive experience and knowledge in business and job attraction, growth & retention as well as in the mechanisms for the optimal development and utilization of regional and geographic assets has made her valuable and sought after by smaller regional communities desiring to grow and prosper. Ms. Allison has two sons: Eric, a pharmacist in Kansas City, Missouri and Jason, a landscape architect in Austin, Texas.
