To link businesses throughout the Delta Regional Authority together in order to promote Delta businesses; encourage trade with one another; increase opportunities for new startups and to showcase best practices.
Sometimes the most efficient way to improve a region is to discover what is already working and make it even better.
The Delta Pride project team focused on linking business partners across the region by establishing a Delta Regional Chamber of Commerce (DRCC), multiplying the significant impact individual chambers of commerce have had in the Delta Region.
Each member of our project team researched and collected data regarding the viability and impact of joining forces with other communities within the area to maximize communication, resources, area specialists and opportunities to further strengthen economic development in the Delta Region.
Many communities have found great success by these virtual partnerships. In fact, our project largely draws from other regional sites such as the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce.
Initial memberships in the Delta Regional Chamber of Commerce (DRCC) will be offered to Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Associations throughout the Delta Regional Authority counties and parishes.
Dues for Chambers will be based upon the number of members that Chamber currently has; dues for Economic Development Associations are population-based.
We continue to develop this project in partnership with community representatives from the region.
